The Town of Brookline, acting through the Brookline Building Commission, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids for Coolidge Corner Branch Library – Accessibility and Roof Improvements, Brookline, MA in accordance with Contract Documents prepared by CBI Consulting, LLC, 250 Dorchester Avenue, Boston, MA 02127. The work of this Contract includes elevator modernizations, including, but not limited to, the following:
Base Bid – Roof replacement, masonry pointing and repairs, select window replacement, wheelchair lift installation, installation of new partitions and doors, guardrail replacement.
Add Alternate #1 – Skylight replacement
Add Alternate #2 – Interior ramp replacement.
Add Alternate #3 – Front offices rework
Add Alternate #4 – Site work

Filed Sub-Bids are required for the following trades:
Masonry
Miscellaneous and Ornamental Iron
Roofing
Waterproofing
Windows
Elevators
HVAC
Electrical

The estimated construction cost of this Project is $1,700,000.00.
A pre-bid site inspection and meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at 3:30 p.m. All Bidders are requested to meet at the front entrance of the Coolidge Corner Branch Library, 31 Pleasant Street.

Plans and Specifications will be available to bidders after 2:00 PM local time, on Wednesday January 31, 2018.

upon deposit of $50.00 in the form of a CERTIFIED CHECK or BANK MONEY ORDER, made payable to the Town of Brookline for each complete set of Bidding Documents. General Bidders may receive one (1) and sub-bidders one (1) set of Bidding Documents. Copies of Addenda will be mailed or delivered to registered Bidders without charge.

Bid sets will be mailed to bidders on receipt of an additional nonrefundable pre-paid shipping fee of $35.00 payable to Andrew T. Johnson.
The full amount of each deposit for Bidding Documents will be refunded to each Bidder returning complete sets of Bidding Documents (including Addenda if issued) in good condition, within thirty (30) days after the date of General Bid opening. Deposits for Bidding Documents will be forfeited to the Town of Brookline if Bidding Documents are not returned within the specified time limit.
